Good news, I will have time for scripting this week =)
Which means I will have musicianship taken care of soon and will hopefully start working on another script.

Re: Musicianship
It probably just needs to be added as a constant to whichever file defines events in the 0.97 Distro.

Re: Musicianship
I am done with musicianship, provocation and peacemaking. However I have noticed that SkillCheck has a bit of a problem. I can use 1000000 as the difficulty and never miss a beat playing my instrument perfectly.
if(SkillCheck(who, "Musicianship", -1, pts))
PlaySoundEffect(who, success);

.freeze & .thaw
I just wrote these because it was annoying typing .setprop frozen 1.
freeze.src

program freeze(who)
SendSysMessage(who, "Target the creature or person to render immobile.");
var targ := Target(who, TGTOPT_NOCHECK_LOS );

Re: Musicianship
Here is the dummy script I am using. I implemented your idea, it was similar to mine, but will work better I think.
use npc;
use os;
use uo;
include ":brainAI:npcCommands";
include "include/sysEvent";
var me := Self();
program enticedai()
var timeout := ReadGameClock();
while(ReadGameClock ...

Re: Musicianship
Sounds like a good alternative. If that's all peacemaking is, I suppose you could remake the EVID_PEACEMAKE that puts the script into something like:
var now := ReadGameClock();
while(ReadGameClock - now < 15)
var ev := Wait_For_Event(15);
if(ev.type == /* damaged, engaged, whatever */)
break ...
var now := ReadGameClock();
while(ReadGameClock - now < 15)
var ev := Wait_For_Event(15);
if(ev.type == /* damaged, engaged, whatever */)
break ...

Re: ???
Correct. The inbuilt CheckSkill function still wants skillids.
Assuming you are writing for the 097 distro, then use SkillCheck instead of CheckSkill.

Re: Musicianship
I have no idea... but I came up with another way to do it. I send the creature a dummy script that keeps him retarded until he takes damage or until the 15 seconds is up, at which point it reassigns his\her old control script.

Thank you Luth, that doesn't seem to work after I entered it into the registry though.

I am working on the scripts now and it has come to my attention that we don't have an EVID_PEACEMADE anymore, and every attempt at finding a solution to this raises more questions.

Ok, heres animaltaming.src except theres no tamed.src yet so it doesn't set the new script on the horse. I even figured out how to get the animal to attack you if you anger it enough by using "brainAI:npcCommands" include.
I have no idea how to start writing tamed.src at the moment. I am trying to ...

Re: ???
When I Use: CheckSkill(who, "AnimalTaming", difficulty + 10, points)
I get: error errortext = "Invalid parameter type. Expected param 1 as Integer. got String"
I guess CheckSkill still wants us to use the skill numbers? But you guys said they are outdated and we dont use them?

Ecompile
Anyone else have the problem of ecompile not compiling just a single script if you give it a directory? Is there a way to correct this?
One more question, anyone know if right-click ecompile still exists?

Re: ???
Like CWO said, Skill IDs are no longer used. You will want to pass a string rather than a number and the value for taming is AnimalTaming .
All attribute identifiers can be found in \pol\pkg\systemss\attributes\config\attributes.cfg
If I include attributes.cfg and use "AnimalTaming", im passing ...

Thanks Luth, I will convert musicianship as well. Tonight I don't have a chance of even breathing on a script, maybe tommorow night I will have a chance. I work in retail so my hours are crazy this week.
Thank you all for your help, thank you Yukiko, and thank you cwo.

Re: ???
Hrmmm which file is SKILLID_TAMING defined? That is the only thing keeping taming.src from compiling.
For the GetEffectiveSkill(who, SKILLID_TAMING) func this person used I replace it with AP_GetSkill(who, SKILLID_TAMING), think that works just as well?
Update: Found it, its ANIMAL_TAMING in this ...

I am a very busy man, but I will work on this when I get the chance. Currently I am converting taming.src, but I don't know if I will be able to finish it or start work on another .src in the package tonight.

I have no problem copying scripts from 095 to 097, except, there is no place to download the 095 or 096 distros. So if someone would be kind enough to upload it somewhere, or if the devs realize people may need it and add it to the download section of this site, that'd be great.

097 Distro is very limited. Anyone have the 095 Distro or 096 Distro with complete scripts so one such as myself can merge them to 097? Or does someone care to share an already merged server?
