older core (<95) download?

Hi everybody:)

I have to bring up an old server just as a reference (to see how things worked out there), problem is, it's POL93-based, and the oldest core available is POL95. Is it possible to download the 93 core somewhere? (possibly for windows)

thank you,
Daneel

External aux service

Hello :)

I don't know if this is the precise place where to post this, sorry in advance if it's not..

Anyway, here's my problem: I want my POL (095) server to be able to use a simple Java service that will be hosted in the same host where POL runs.

I'd like to do this because otherwise I'd have ...

Re: Not being able to connect!

I've created my admin account and I try to connect. When I do that, it shows this message! What shall I do?

Shall I edit config/servers.cfg ? It is like:

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
//
// SERVERS.CFG: Loginserver configuration data on Gameservers ...

it's enough that you try starting pol *without* those files (so, writing a wrong directory in your pol.cfg): then when it terminates upon start read your start.log, there will be such a list saying "these files need to be accessibile, blah blah"

(i did like that when i ran the server on linux)

oh ...

I program in java quite much and I'd love to have an object-oriented language to program with. The only place I've seen this is there where they use C#, but in that emulator customizing is -geees- a Hell. From what I've seen you really have to pick scripts and see what effect taking them away ...

It reports a conflict both when finding a function whose name is the same of another function, or even a parameter of a function whose name equals another function's (in the scope). I know that from experience :P

So for example if you try to compile this:

// scripts/textcmd/gm/myscript.src

deathtest

By the way, it would be nice if before calling death or chrdeath scripts, like when deciding wether an object is to be allowed for equipping with equiptest.ecl script, death would be tested with some (chr)deathtest.ecl script, returning 1 or 0 if the script is allowing or not death, respectively ...

cputime always zero

Hello,

Before I start, I don't know why but I can log in this forum only by using Internet Explorer, not Mozilla Firefox.. just to tell you, there might be a bug.

Anyway now I'm IE and I can post :D

So here's the problem: I'm running Pol095 on Ubuntu Linux using Slackware static binaries; this ...
