newbie:Vendor Buy?

sorry bout this but i just got pol yesterday so please bear with me on this one...when i log on and go to a vendor and say "i wish to buy" or something along those lines the words dont come up and i was wondering if this is becasue im missing a script or something...

if your speech won't show it's commonly related to unicode translation issues. A quick fix is commonly to delete/rename transerv.exe in your uo dir - someone else might have better solutions though.

Did you delete or rename speech.mul in your UO path? If you're using POL095, you'll have to delete or rename it before opening UO.

And also remove the UO CD from your CD drive, since UO seems to look even there for the speech.mul - it seems to be really desperate for that file
