Problem with ore.cfg

Post by SoD »

Hi, I have a problem with ore.cfg. When I run Pol 096 It sudenly shut off.
Fortunately my problem has been registered in start log.

Code: Select all

Error reading configuration file regions/ore.cfg:
 Realm not found
 Element: Region Background, found on line 144
Server Shutdown: load_resource_cfg
Execution aborted due to: Configuration file error
I tried to do something with this but with no results:/
Please, tell me how can I fix it.

Did you run the 'starthere' batch file and generate the realms?

Did you perhaps forget to put in the realm line into the ore.cfg?

It has to look this way, eg.:

Code: Select all

Region  Background
{
    UnitsPerArea        int amount
    SecondsPerRegrow    int seconds
    Capacity            int capacity amount
    oretype 1
    Range               x1 y1 x2 y2
    Realm		britannia
}

Starthere.bat is part of the POL 96 Core. You need to download POL 96 Core and use that. The POL homepage for POL has the link to the download for POL 96 Core.

I think Yukiko means the 096 distro, not the core.
The distro contains some nice batch files that will help you generate the realm files and also neatly manage your compiling.
