Water statics

Post by FreeSoul »

"11-01 Racalac (not in 11-01 test core)
Fixed: water statics above walkable map no longer blocks movement
below"

is it working on 2006-01-18 core? If yes then what flags in tiledata
should have water tiles?
I have block, block water, surface for them, but it doesn't work for
me.

I think maybe you are misunderstanding that entry...

It seems that you think the change was that you can now walk on water tiles if walkable map is below. If that is what you think the change is, I believe you are incorrect; The change seems to me to be that before, having static water tiles above the map in a normally walkable location would block someone walking on the normally walkable map below, but this has now been fixed. It has nothing to do with being able to walk on the water statics themselves.

*nods* btw... the other (making water walkable) worked all along just as well.. if you had a layer of static (and walkable tiles) just below the water layer (at exactly the same z-level), the water would become walkable.
(Ps: the same works with mountains and other impassable terrains too... nice trick for secret passages)
