Is it possible to script the use of the three types of coins in the vendor buy/sell system?
If so, how can this be accomplished using the standard buy/sell gump or can it?
Thanks in advance.
Using different types of coins
I know they have the coins available but I don't think they ever did anything with them. The only other thing I can think of but it would be a pain is to break up currency by vendor. Each vendor taking one currency and setting the buy price and sell price the exact amount in that currency. Then when receiving the system events, take that currency instead of always taking gold.
Thanks.
I was hoping there would be an easier way to do it.
After dabbling with WoW and remembering my basic D&D I wanted to implement coppers and silver as a way of giving more variety to the game.
I suppose I can write a custom vendor system to accomplish the task. It would have been nice if OSI had given us the "gumpability" to do it. I don't understand why they included the graphics for the three types of coins and never implemented them.
Anyway, thanks again for the info.

I hate to necropost but to answer your question, yes. OSI did use silver coins in their faction system.Yukiko wrote:Thanks CWO.
I have never played OSI/EA. Does they even support copper and silver currency?
Well, yes I guess they did use the silver coins but not in the main currency system as they are used in WoW and in D&D.
If I remember my D&D correctly 100 coppers=1 silver, 100 silvers=1 gold. I know that's the system WoW uses.
My hope was that there was an easy way to make the standard vendor buy/sell gump utilize the three.
