Question on Samurai Empire / Age of Shadows, etc.

I just installed the Samurai Empire software and am using this for the shard which I have setup. As I am new to this still, I am having some difficulty in getting to any "new" lands other than what is in the original UO release and the T2A lands (i.e. I have Felucia/Trammel and Ilshenar only). Are any of the newer lands (i.e. Malas or Tokuno) available or accessible with the pol095 distributed package? Any assistance or information woudl be helpful.

Thanks!

Only 1 map is supported at a time in 095. Multi-map support was only added in 096.

question on Pol 096..

Ok...that makes sense that pol095 supports only one map at a time. Where can a person get a hold of the pol096 release or when will it be released to the public? Any additional information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You can get it from the yahoo groups but its not as easy as download and run. POL096 is not only still in beta development, but you have a massive changelog to use to update your scripts to be compatible with 096. And no scripts come with it at all. What you're asking for in multi-map support is probably the most time consuming of all changes too. You'd have to look up in your scripts for anything and everything that references a location of a UObject (Item, Player, NPC, ect..) and decide on a case by case basis, what you're going to do to reference exactly what map its on. My advice to you is to continue with 095 as long as possible until at least a distro scriptbase is done for 096.

Wow that sounds like a ton of work! Yeah I will take your advice then and continue on with pol095 for the time being. Do you happen to know by chance if anyone has provided the scripts/packages for either of those two worlds that I could incorporate into the maps that I already have in place?

Thanks for all your assistance!

Maybe try the pol-distro Yahoo group. It has a Submissions section in the file area. Otherwise, the POL distro scripts that come with the core + Service Pack 1 + Service Pack 2 (have to apply both in order) should be suffice in starting out.
