I am running a pre-aos shard. Based alot off Crystal Gate (thank you for the inspiration CWO) and am thinking about witching to 96 or 97. Is 95 beyond buggy for working with to make a serious shard?
I lost all my shard info due to hard drive failure and am starting a fresh shard. Which should I use?
@ CWO is CG pre-aos, it seems like it, only you are using the new music files with an old base.
Just curious... Thanks For Any Replies.

CG is pre-aos on a lot of things but we do use the newer monsters and unlock everything possible on the client. I couldn't give you a lot of the specifics on this because all of this was in before my time.

Are you saying CG was created by someone else?

Of course it was... CG was around since March 2001. I became a player in August 2001, staff in 2003, and an admin in 2004. CG has had 9 developers that I can think of offhand and a compilation of shared public scripts and distros that were custom tailored by each dev that put them in. A major reason that I'm rewriting the shard from scratch myself is that trying to improve on these scripts has become a harder task than it should be and theres many very obvious scripting mistakes on the shard.

Also I want to tell you going from 095 up isn't a very easy task. It took me 4 solid months to get CG to stop crashing 10 times a day on 096 and a solid year to completely make everything work correctly. 097 is what the rewrite is being built around.
