Adding new animations

Post by e44 »

Do you know any guide of adding new NPCs animations to UO? Or, if not, can you help me with it? I'm using 097.

that is not emulator dependent.

That is done using mul editors.

I've written a guide teaching how to do that, it's on UOX3 forums..

I have 3 questions:

1. After NPC's death there is no corpse. How to fix that?

2. What are .uop files for (in mulpatcher I can use only .vd files)?

3. How to create .vd file from .bmp files?

Don't know the corpse issue.

But, as far as I can remember UOP files are for old verdata.mul, not sure if it is, but almost sure.

You can use them, but you'll need old clients if I'm right about verdata.

My tutorial just covers VD files because I'm on new clients.

Using mulpatcher you can export VD files to bmp file set, export something, check how it's exported and try to copy, that is the best advice I can give you, because I don't know how to create in another way, I don't know which format mulpatcher is expecting, so, the best you can do is checking how the ones there are formated.
