Hey, will anyone miss if I just comment out the Beep the systray icon makes everytime you right-click it?

Ain't that a feature most of users won't ever (want to) find out?

While you are at it, I say it should be optional, say, pol.cfg setting BeebOnSystrayIconRightClick 0/1. Better yet! It could be SystrayIconRightClickSound none/beeb/path_to_wav_file. O' the possibilities!

The first option could be done, but is there really any use for that beep? I can't find one (apart from driving me nuts when I was debugging POL Launch).

Everytime i shutdown my test server i think my virus scanner found something
so i don't mind if this beep is away

No reason to make it optional, I'm just entertaining myself with the idea.

While you are pondering the system tray code, check that killing POL (ie X on the console window) still leaves the POL icon there until you mouseover it.

I'm trying to take a look at that. I learned almost all the systray bugs when trying to debug the POLLaunch ability to run POL. Can you imagine having almost 10 icons on the systray?

OnG that persistent ghost systray icon effect is not isolated to POL. I have several apps that do that either all the time or randomly. I think it's a Windows "feature". Maybe it is there to remind those of us who are getting old which applications we had shut down just in case we need to restart them.
