Just some questions regarding the skill system and files.

Is there a crucial .cfg file called checkskill.cfg? I've just previously used scriptsets that had this, and didnt see it in the pol cfg files in the documentation pages. Is this file needed and if so, what values does it take? (I'm just doing a server from scratch atm).

I use 098 core and there is no such config. Configs including attributes can be found in systems/attributes/config...
Otherwise you could always create an own CheckSkill.cfg and a script which will read it and do whatever you want to do

If its not in the documentation then it was a custom configuration file. How it was formatted and how it was used was all done by custom scripting. Depending on how your scriptbase is set up, you'll likely have to find how skillgain is called inside the scripts and includes. If your scriptbase uses CheckSkill, see if there is an entry in syshook.cfg to hook it. If there is, that entry contains the pointer to your skillgain file. Otherwise, you likely have a different custom skillgain system.
