Anyone done this already? Maps for Tokuno, Ilshenar?
If yes - how? At this moment I have no idea how:)
How it works on official server?

Yes, I have done
Works with clients >= 7.0.13.x
I added the r/w member .facetid for maps which is used to define what map it is on.
the facetid number is the same as shown in facetXX.mul files ( Felucca 0, Trammel 1, Ilshenar 2..... )

as i understand that is impossible to do with clients < 7.0.13 ?
is there any possibility to draw a gump with a map without using facetid ?

It's not impossible but you have to somehow generate a new multimap.rle ( black and white map ) that is a collection of all your maps.
Then in your code you have to calculate the pixels for different maps in that 1 picture.
for example felucca 0 - 7168, trammel 7168 -> xxxx and so on.
The multiple file support came with patch 7.0.13 and before that the client just used 1 file ( 1 picture )

I confirm what said by Tomi. I did it to have maps both on Sosaria and on the Lost lands.
I generated a new multimap.rle and I changed the code in the treasure package to handle coordinates in both realm.

7.0.24.x or something like that is the last version with just .mul files before they changed the classic client to use .uop files also.
Check from here, you can find what almost every patch did to the client and its files
http://www.uoguide.com/List_of_Classic_Client_Patches
The .facetid is only working for the polclass MAP so make sure you define those correctly in itemdesc
Code: Select all
04-14-2012 Tomi:
Added: Support for new map message packet 0xF5 for clients 7.0.13+
This packet supports the new facetXX.mul files and now can use every different realm for cartography maps and sea charts.
Added: r/w member .facetid for Maps
This has actually nothing to do with realms, the value is the same as in FacetXX.mul file
I dont have a patch file for it, just look at SVN history and grab the changes from there if you are not using the latest revision
