I can not see hidden people, npcs or objects. I have developer command level. Also I can not dress NPCs. What would cause this. It not just my account.

You may want to use this little command in your \textcmd\test directory (or wherever you have your Dev-level dot-commands.

Basically it grants a privilege and then enables it. You might want to tailor it to suit your needs.

Code: Select all

use uo;

program devprivs(who,opt)

  if(opt=="on")
    enableallprivs(who);
  elseif(opt=="off")
    disabledevprivs(who);
  else
    SendSysMessage(who, "Syntax: .devprivs on|off", 3, 33);
  endif

endprogram

function enableallprivs(who)

//	GrantPrivilege(who, "moveany");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "renameany");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "clotheany");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "invul");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "seehidden");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "seeghosts");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "hearghosts");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "seeinvisitems");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "dblclickany");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "losany");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "ignoredoors");
	GrantPrivilege(who, "freemove");
//	who.enable("moveany");
	who.enable("renameany");
	who.enable("clotheany");
	who.enable("invul");
	who.enable("seehidden");
	who.enable("seeghosts");
	who.enable("hearghosts");
	who.enable("seeinvisitems");
	who.enable("dblclickany");
	who.enable("losany");
	who.enable("ignoredoors");
	who.enable("freemove");
	SendSysMessage( who, "All Privileges have been Granted and Enabled on yourself", 3, 33);

endfunction

function disabledevprivs(who)

	who.disable("moveany");
	who.disable("renameany");
	who.disable("clotheany");
	who.disable("seeinvisitems");
	who.disable("dblclickany");
	who.disable("losany");
	who.disable("ignoredoors");
	who.disable("freemove");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "moveany");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "renameany");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "clotheany");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "seeinvisitems");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "dblclickany");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "losany");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "ignoredoors");
	RevokePrivilege(who, "freemove");
	SendSysMessage( who, "Your Dev Privileges have been Disabled", 3, 33);

endfunction
Mine is simply named 'devprivs' and is a toggle, as you can see.
Hope it's of some help.

Just a caveat about the RenameAny privilege, if it's enabled you can accidentally rename things . Example, you move a Health Bar belonging to a player for some reason. You don't realize that you clicked in the 'name' area of the Health Bar. Now you type a command such as .go and press <enter>. The command fails to bring up the "go" gump but the player gets renamed to '.go' and you fail to notice because you are wondering why the command didn't work. You type it again and it works so you go on your merry way while the player wonders why she's named ".go". It's for this reason we decided that RenameAny was best left disabled and just used a 'rename' command for that purpose.
