message length?

Post by dkpat »

i'm on my shard, testing some things. I'm walking around and it freezes. i can't move. POL is still running but i can't move. I check the console and it tells me this

Code: Select all

Client#2: Too-long message length of 48896
I am using POL Core 097 and the distro for it with added scripts of my own.

My UO is Ultima Online Gold client version...6.0.2.0

The Encryption is removed using UO Rice

Does anyone have any clue what is wrong?

EDIT: it appears that message had nothing to do with it. it just happened again and that message didn't appear. (maybe it has something to do with the focus skill problems I'm having?)

ok. correction. it has nothing to do with any of what i said above. i disabled the focus package, and it happened again after so long of running.

here is the console log information form the most recent occurence.

Code: Select all

can anyone help me? could it somehow be related to the memory leak problem that has been reported?

Yep, and you've left us the thread to chuckle over!.... you must feel a twerp :)
Nah, we've all done something like that or worse, so don't worry about it.

Try patching with OSI again but stop after it finishes client version 6.0.1.6
That's the last version that will work if I recall correctly.

I am still a big fan of 5.0.1.9 though.
