Cache Accounts.txt

Post by MontuZ »

Because POL seems to write to Accounts.txt every time a change is made if a crash occurs while pol is writing to accounts.txt; parts of accounts.txt gets wipped. And by crash I mean, my power went out...

And just to clarify, does POL write to accounts.txt everytime a change is made?

doesn't POL write the new one to a .ndt file first, delete the .bak, rename the .txt to .bak, then rename the .ndt to .txt? I mean I know it does that for sure in saves but not for the regular refreshing of accounts too?

I haven't seen it do that normally for regular refreshing. And if it does it's doing it really fast, lol.

I've also had some cases where both .bak and .txt copies of accounts would both have wiped parts saved. Which would cause me to warp back a few days to the last manual backup.

This hasn't happened to any other of my data files either, just accounts.

Bump

Forget POL is already running and load up a second POL, after a minute or two your accounts.txt becomes corrupt.
